my mum Peggy died in her sleep unexpectedly on Sat 5th Jan - she lived all her life in Tottenham

When she was younger she used to sing in clubs and sang in The Krays clubs - singing was one of her
passions

She was married for 45 years before dad passed 10 years ago - I dont think she ever fully got over
being without him

She had 8 children - 2 boys and 6 girls - 23 grandchildren and recently a great grandmother

she was a feisty lady and loved a brandy or 2 - but she had a heart of gold and would do anything to
help anyone

I still cant believe she has gone.

In the last few months you got weak and I wish I could have done more to help you

Sorry mum I wasnt with you when you went - hope you are with dad now

I love and miss you - you will always be pal of my cradle days

Dear Nanny Wal,
I won't write too much here because I said everything I wanted to say to you last night...I know that wherever you are you were listening, and will continue to listen when I talk to you in the future, same as Granddad does.
I'm glad to hear you and granddads ashes are to be reunited on Valentine's Day, a great tribute to a loving marriage.
I love you

1935 The year Peggy Bates was born
The beautifull lady who we’ve come here to morn
An angel from birth seeing us through
Not knowing that heaven was waiting for you
For 72 years this country was blessed
With a wonderfull woman our Nan was the best
I’ve never known a bigger Arsenal fan
Who knew more about football than any man
I feel privileged to have been a part of her life
A loving mother and a devoted wife
She raised a big family and times were grim
But she got through the struggle she never gave in
The heart and soul of the Warwick tree
Back with dear grandad you longed to be
And there you’ll both wait to greet us all
When the day comes and each of us fall
Your memory lives on inside all of us
I know your looking down thinking why all the fuss
We love you dearly and will miss you forever
I’m just glad you and grandad are finally together
Heavens gained our angel we’ll all have a cry
But we will meet again so for now goodbye

Dear Nanny,

Missing you so much, just can't believe that you're gone.

I know you're up in heaven with Grandad and Great-Nan.

Everyone loved you so much and you will forever be in our hearts.

I will always remember the times all the cousins went to your house on saturdays.
